The Bachelor of Software Engineering (Multimedia Systems Development) programme is an enhancement of the current Bachelor of Information Technology (Multimedia Studies) programme. This new programme focuses on the analysis, design and development of multimedia systems based on software engineering principles and aims to meet the needs of software companies in Malaysia for professionals.

The programme aims to produce computing professionals who are savvy in the field of software engineering and who are specialised in the dynamics of multimedia systems development with unlimited creativity and innovation, and who will be ethical and adaptable in an international working environment.

Graduates can explore various careers such as multimedia software engineer, multimedia system analyst, multimedia system developer, games programmer, multimedia expert, consultant and media producer. Qualified graduates can also further their studies in postgraduate programmes where they can enhance their knowledge and expertise in advanced studies of  multimedia systems.
