COURSE OVERVIEW

Department of Mathematical Science at TAR UC offers a

research programme leading to an MSc degree for students who wish to excel in

their academic excellence. It offers a substantial opportunity for independent

study and gives students the opportunity to develop broader transferable skills

in the processes of organizing, communicating and presenting their work, and

will equip students well for further research or for a wide variety of other

careers.

Bachelor's Degree

A Bachelor's Degree (MQF, Level 6) in a Mathematics related field with minimum CGPA of 2.75 or equivalent as accepted by TAR UC Senate; OR
A Bachelor's Degree (MQF, Level 6) in a Mathematics related field with minimum CGPA of 2.50 and not meeting CGPA of 2.75, can be accepted subject to rigorous internal assessment; OR
A Bachelor's Degree (MQF, Level 6) in a Mathematics related field not meeting CGPA of 2.50, can be accepted subject to a minimum of 5 years working experience in relevant field; OR
A Bachelor's Degree (MQF, Level 6) in a non-Mathematics related field with minimum CGPA of 2.75 or equivalent, as accepted by the TAR UC Senate, can be accepted subject to rigorous internal assessment.

English Language Requirement

Malaysian Students:

MUET Band 3.5 or IELTS Band 5.0 or CEFR Mid B2 or TOEFL iBT 60 equivalent; OR Exemption of English Language requirement if medium of instruction during Bachelor studies was in English.

International Students:

IELTS Band 5.0 or CEFR High B1 or TOEFL iBT 42 or equivalent ; OR
Exemption of English Language requirement if medium of instruction during Bachelor studies was in English.
