Faculty of Media Computer and Technology Management was established to produce programmes related to information and communication technology (ICT). The main objective is to produce more graduates who can master the latest technology and highest quality.Program in the field of ICT could be further enhanced to meet the demand for ICT workers. TATiUC hope ICT graduates are able to use existing technology as well as developing new technologies in the field of ICT.Computing has already transformed business. Technologies that have had significant impact include computer-aided manufacturing, just-in-time manufacturing, data mining and data warehousing in the retail sector, e-procurement, internet banking and online shopping. These are today’s technologies, but what will happen in the near future? What impact will computer science topics like machine learning, social modelling and evolutionary computation have on business?There is a real demand for managers who have a thorough grasp of computer science as well as a clear understanding of management principles. This programme is designed to give you both.
Passed Matriculation or Basic Course with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and credit in Additional Mathematics subject at SPM level or equivalent; OR Pass STPM or equivalent to a minimum Grade C (CGPA 2.00) in Additional Mathematics subject at SPM level or equivalent; OR Diploma in Computer Science OR Software Engineering OR Information Technology OR Information System or equivalent to a minimum CGPA of 2.5 and credits in Additional Mathematics at the SPM level or equivalent. Candidates with CGPA below 2.50 but more than 2.00 with credit in Mathematics Additional subjects at the SPM level or equivalent, are acceptable subject to a neat internal processing process; OR Any Diploma in Science and Technology with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 is acceptable subject to a neat internal assessment process and credits in Additional Mathematics at the SPM level or equivalent Note: The credit terms in Additional Mathematics at the SPM level for candidates (i), (ii), (iii) or (iv) may be exempt if the qualifications comprise Mathematics subjects and their achievement equivalent / more than the credit requirements of the subject at the SPM level. Candidates who earn credit in a computer-related subject at the SPM or STPM level or equivalent may be given a primary consideration.
