With many school leavers occupied with SPM results, March 15 also represents another big day for university students: the RM250 that was promised by Bank Rakyat. True to their word, Bank Rakyat have confirmed that KADS1M holders can start checking their accounts via ATM or online for the RM250 from 4.00pm today. On top of that, Bank Rakyat have answered another burning question regarding KADS1M- the opening date for NEW KADS1M applicants- which has been slated for April 1, 2018. No, this is not an April Fool's joke! Requirements and exact mehtods to apply will be provided soon by Bank Rakyat
Do remember that this year will see a slight change, as applicants will no longer be restricted to a pre-selected Bank Rakyat branch when picking up their cards, and can do so at any location they choose to. Have fun and spend wisely!
How to Apply for KADS1M in 2017
Applying for KADS1M is as easy as 1-2-3. Really, we aren’t joking. Don’t believe us? Even the official website says so!
Step 1
Fill in the online application form (Please open a Bank Rakyat KADS1M account beforehand. If you already have a Bank Rakyat account (non-KADS1M related) then, you will have to open a new account. APPLICATIONS ARE CURRENTLY NOT OPEN
Step 2
Wait for the confirmatory e-mail from the relevant body that will tell you when your KADS1M is ready. (Many have found this part frustrating, but it should be a lot easier with the launch of the online system to track your application status on June 1).
Step 3
You will have to go to your nearest Bank Rakyat branch to collect your brand new KADS1M.
