With the recent announcement of the creation of a system that allow you to check/ verify your KADS1M Application Status Online, which will no doubt clear up any existing confusion regarding the matter, we thought it is best to create an A-Z guide for the KADS1M, from how to apply to what it can be used for.
PLEASE NOTE THAT APPLICATIONS ARE NOT YET OPEN
What is KADS1M?
The KADS1M helps students from IPTA and IPTS to minimise their daily expenses. It functions as an ATM, Debit Card and a Discount card
The 1Malaysia Student Discount Card, or as it is fondly know, KADS1M, was established by the Ministry of Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Ministry (KPDNKK) with the objective to help alleviate the expenses of students in institutions of higher learning (IPT) public and private sectors across the country. In simple terms, KADS1M is three cards in one. The KADS1M functions as a Debit Card, an ATM and a Discount card (more on that later). It is meant for students, any student really, studying at a public or private university.
To simplify things, you need to be a Malaysian university student in order to get the KADS1M card
