Tan Sri Dr Jeffrey Cheah, AO, Founder and Trustee of Jeffrey Cheah Foundation, and Founder and Chairman of Sunway Group, firmly believes that a good education opens doors to a better life and that the opportunity for education should be equal.
It is with this in mind that the Jeffrey Cheah Foundation, which replaced the Sunway Education Trust Fund set up in 1997, was established in March 2010.
As of 2019, the Jeffrey Cheah Foundation has awarded more than RM482 million in Scholarships to thousands of deserving students in various fields of study.
Through the Jeffrey Cheah Foundation, Sunway University has continuously contributed scholarships and education funds to deserving students through the scholarships and awards.
Applicant must meet all the below requirements
1. Malaysian students studying full-time in Sunway College (KL) who are State or National Athletes (2 years prior to joining Sunway University – year 2018)

3. Submit the Scholarship Application Form along with supporting documents to Student LIFE within the stipulated deadline (refer to Scholarship Calendar)
4. Scholarship selection interviews will take place in May
5. Only applicants shortlisted for an interview will be informed via a phone call followed by an e-mail by mid of April
6. Applicants that are not shortlisted will receive an e-mail communication
