Overview

St Joseph’s Institution International School Malaysia is now offering scholarships to students entering Year 12 in August 2016. In line with the school's values and tradition, the school is offering the Scholarship Programme to provide talented and capable students who wish to embark on the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, the opportunity to be a part of the school and to flourish under the guidance of its teachers.

 

The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) is a 2 year educational programme primarily aimed at students aged 16-19. Success in the IBDP offers students the opportunity to gain access to the best universities in the world.

Scholarships will be awarded based on:

  •  the student's current school academic records
  •  internal SJIIM Scholarship tests
  •  an interview with the Scholarship Panel
  •  a written personal statement supplied with application
  •  an endorsement from the Principal of the applicant’s secondary school

Applicants are expected to be able to provide evidence of good academic performance and demonstrate active participation and leadership in co-curricular activities and service activities.

Full board and lodging and some basic expenses are provided for students living outside the Klang Valley and overseas.

 

Merit-Based Means-Tested Scholarships:

  • Covers all or part of the tuition fees for 2 years.
  • Evidence of the Combined Gross Family Income will be required to be eligible for a means-tested scholarship.

Merit-Based Scholarships:

  • Covers all or part of the tuition fees for 2 years.

How to apply for SJII Malaysia International Baccalaureate (IB) Scholarship Programme

 

1. To download the application form please visit the official website.

2. Full applications should be emailed to [email protected] and include:

  •  A completed Application Form, signed by your parent or guardian
  •  Personal Statement
  •  Copies of official school transcripts for the past 2 years
  •  One recent passport sized photograph (attached to the application form)
  •  If you are applying for a means-tested merit-based scholarship evidence of the Combined Gross
  • Family Income
  •  Endorsement from the Principal of your secondary school

3. Scholarship tests will take place on Saturday, February 27.

 

4. Short listed applicants will attend a selection interview in early March.
