Overview

Japan, Korea, France and Germany Special Program (JKPJ) Year 2022 is a PSD sponsorship program in the form of Variable Loan (PBU) for SPM graduates in 2021 in engineering, science and technology (S&T) and social sciences to Japan, Korea, France and Germany. Students will be sponsored to pursue preparatory studies before pursuing Diploma or First Degree studies in the respective countries.

Applications can be made online at the PSD website from 16 to 26 June 2022. Applicants must read and understand all the guidelines and conditions that have been set for this program before making an application.

Criteria

Applicants must meet all of the requirements below

General Terms

(i) Citizen of Malaysia;
(ii) Have good health;
(iii) Parents are not blacklisted by the PSD or are in PSD legal action;
(iv) Not receiving financial assistance / sponsorship from any agency for the same level of study;
(v) Sit for the SPM 2021 examination for the first time; and
(vi) Age has not reached 19 years (20 years for transition students) on 31 December of the year the SPM examination was sat.2

Special Terms

Details of specific requirements by field are as follows:

Japanese Engineering

Supply program at INTEC Education College
Obtained at least grade A (combination of grade A+ and grade A only) in the following five (5) subjects:
a) Malay language;
b) Mathematics;
c) Additional Mathematics;
d) Physics; dan
e) Chemistry.
And get at least an A- grade in the following two (2) subjects:
a) English; and
b) History.

Korean Engineering

Supply program at INTEC Education College
Obtained at least grade A (combination of grade A+ and grade A only) in the following five (5) subjects:
a) Malay language;
b) Mathematics;
c) Additional Mathematics;
d) Physics; dan
e) Chemistry.
And get at least an A- grade in the following two (2) subjects:
a) English; and
b) History

Korean Science and Technology Field

Supply program at INTEC Education College
Obtained at least grade A (combination of grade A+ and grade A only) in the following five (5) subjects:
a) Malay language;
b) Mathematics;
c) Additional Mathematics;
d) Physics; dan
e) Chemistry.
And get at least an A- grade in the following two (2) subjects:
a) English; and
b) History.

French Field of Engineering

Supply program at INTEC Education College
Obtained at least grade A (combination of grade A+ and grade A only) in the following five (5) subjects:
a) Malay language;
b) Mathematics;
c) Additional Mathematics;
d) Physics; dan
e) Chemistry.
And get at least an A- grade in the following two (2) subjects:
a) English; and
b) History.

French Social Science Field

Supply program at Uni-MFI
Obtained at least grade A (combination of grade A+ and grade A only) in
the following five (5) subjects:
a) Malay language;
b) Mathematics; and
c) Three (3) other subjects (including Additional Mathematics if it is a requirement of the Preparatory College)
And Obtained at least grade A- in the following two (2) subjects:
d) English; and
e) History

German Field of Engineering

Supply program at INTEC Education College/Sunway College
Obtained at least grade A (combination of grade A+ and grade A only) in the following five (5) subjects:
a) Malay language;
b) Mathematics;
c) Additional Mathematics;
d) Physics; dan
e) Chemistry.

And

Obtained at least grade A- in the following two (2) subjects:
a) English; and
b) History.

German Field of Science and Technology

Supply program at INTEC Education College
Obtained at least grade A (combination of grade A+ and grade A only) in the following five (5) subjects:
a) Malay language;
b) Mathematics;
c) Additional Mathematics;
d) Physics; dan
e) Chemistry.
And Obtained at least grade A- in the following two (2) subjects:
a) English; and
b) History.

How to apply for JPA Sponsorship for Japan, Korea, France and Germany (JKPJ)

Applications are open online at http://esilav2.jpa.gov.my/ from 16 June 2022 (Thursday) to 26 June 2022 (Sunday), at 5.00
pm.
Applications received after that date will not be considered.
Candidates are allowed to register, update / amend application information before the application closing date. Only the most recent amendments are taken into account for data storage purposes. Candidates must ensure that the application process is complete by printing the JKPJ Special Program Application Confirmation Slip Year 2022 as proof that the application has been made.
