PTPTN chairman Datuk Shamsul Anuar Nasarah, said that if the payments are made via Internet banking or outside the PTPTN branch network, additional charges are subject to conditions imposed by the financial institutions concerned.

In Kuala Nerus, Terengganu Menteri Besar Datuk Ahmad Razif urged the people to give the government room to implement the GST and not be quick to stage protests.

"Obviously if 160 countries have the GST, it must be something good. It is not only good for the government but will also benefit the people," he told reporters.
