DRB-Hicom Group Bhd devotes another RM150 million for the construction of University of Automotive Malaysia's research and development buildings, showroom facilities and practical training blocks.
Group Managing Director and Chairman of University College Sdn Bhd Tan Sri Mohd Khamil Jamil stated that the Pahang-based University of Automotive Malaysia is expected to be completed between 2 to 5 years.
Upon completion, University of Automotive Malaysia will be able to accommodate about 7,000 students.
With the upgrade, the DRB-Hicom University of AutomotiveMalaysia is now among the first in Asean to offer a local bachelors, masters and doctoral degree programmes relating to the automotive ecosystem (mechanical, business and management studies).
According to Tan Sri Mohd Khamil, 60 percent of DRB-Hicom University of AutomotiveMalaysia's graduates are working with the DRB-Hicom Group while the remaining are bonded to other industry players.
