COURSE OVERVIEW

The University of Derby is the first UK University to deliver CMI accreditation through their international partners. Derby’s BA in Business Management is accredited to CMI Level 5 Diploma in Management and Leadership which is also delivered through their partners EU Business School (Europe) and HELP Academy (Malaysia). The subjects you cover throughout this degree don’t exist in isolation – in business you will need to use elements from each subject in different situations, which means you will combine everything you learn and apply it to various business simulations and case studies. For example, you could find yourself setting up a business, identifying your target market, advertising, preparing business plans and cash flows, and carrying out a feasibility study. This experience and practical application of your knowledge sets this degree apart, and prepares you fully for a successful management career

STPM: Pass in any two subjects (Grade C+, GP2.00)
A-level: Pass in any two subjects
UEC: 5Bs (Include Math & English)
HELP Foundation in Arts / Foundation in Science: Pass with minimum CGPA 2.0
HELP Diploma in Business* / Diploma in Information Technology*: Pass with minimum CGPA 2.0
CPU: Average of 70% in 6 subjects
SAM: TER 70%
TEE: University aggregate 50%
International Baccalaureate: Minimum score of 24 points
Ontario Secondary School Diploma: A minimum average of 60% in 2 subjects
Equivalent Foundation / Matriculation Programme accredited by Malaysian government: Pass with a minimum CGPA 2.5
Equivalent Diploma* / Advance Diploma* / Degree* programmes accredited by Malaysian government: Pass with a minimum CGPA 2.5. (Exemptions are possible if academic transcripts and course syllabus are submitted for assessment together with application)
Malaysian Skill Diploma (DKM) Level 4, approved by Jabatan Pembangunan Kemahiran / Jabatan Tenaga Malaysia (JPK/JTM): Pass
Assessment of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL)* / open entry qualifications as recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia (candidate should be of age 21 on 1st day of the year of application).
