Infrastructure University Kuala Lumpur (IUKL) takes pride in being the pioneer infrastructure institution in Malaysia, offering a unique range of engineering courses and a wide variety of subjects within each course.
The university’s emphasis on the development of technology and engineering has propelled it to be the top infrastructure university, birthing graduates who have excelled in every aspect of education and contributed to the community.
In fact, their Faculty of Engineering and Technology Infrastructure is one of the first schools established at IUKL. With 20 years of experience in the education sector, the school has had ample time to develop and enhance its teaching and learning approach.
But what exactly about IUKL that makes it the best engineering school for aspiring Malaysians? Let’s take a look.
IUKL thrives on providing their students with opportunities, and that includes financial aids to help students pursue their education.
At IUKL, students can apply for the IUKL Scholarship. Students who are eligible to apply are those who performed well for their elementary levels, including SPM, STPM, O-Level, A-Level, UEC, Foundation Studies and Diploma. Up to 100% scholarship value is awarded to students who meet the maximum requirement, while students who achieve the minimum requirements can apply for a partial scholarship with IUKL.
The IUKL Scholarship is awarded for the first semester only, but students can apply for the Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme for the second semester onwards.
The scheme offers 50% off the semester tuition fee for students who manage to maintain a GPA and CGPA of 3.75 and above every semester. This is IUKL’s initiative to encourage students to concentrate and excel in their studies, at the same time reduce the burden of students and parents.
There are no limits to your dreams, and IUKL truly believes that. Thanks to its international partnerships with universities across Australia, United Kingdom, China, the Netherlands, New Zealand and Ireland, students can take part in their Foreign Institution Programmes using credit transfers. And that includes Engineering students, as well!
This collaboration provides students a unique opportunity to study abroad with affordable fees and help build global network. For bachelor’s programme, students can either finish 2 years at IUKL and 1 year at overseas partner universities, on 1 year at IUKL and 2 years at overseas partner universities.
For diploma programmes, students are advised to finish 2.5 years with IUKL before pursuing their bachelor’s degree with overseas partner universities. Meanwhile, foundation students must complete their foundation programme with IUKL before they can continue their diploma abroad.
Students from IUKL’s Diploma in Civil Engineering can apply to the University of South Wales’s B.Eng. (Hons) Civil Engineering programme and Post Diploma BSc (Hons) Civil Engineering programme. And for those who are pursuing their Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Hon) with IUKL, students can continue their masters at the University of Portsmouth, UK.
Electrical and Electronic Engineering students at IUKL are invited to pursue their international degree with either The University of New South Wales (Australia), the University of Portsmouth (UK) and Athlone Institute of Technology (Ireland). While Mechanical Engineering students can apply for University of South Wales’s Beng. (Hons) Mechanical Engineering programme and their BSc. (Hons) Mechanical Engineering programme.
