SPM holders can choose up to eight universities and eight courses. Courses are categorized into two --- first and second choice. After selecting the institutions and courses, the form will ask students if they will also consider other institutions not on their preferred list.
Before selecting a course, make sure to check out the prerequisites of that course. This can be done by checking the university’s website which usually has information about the course and the requirements. Compare the subject requirements against your actual results. If your results don’t meet the subject requirements, do not select this course because you will not be considered, especially in prestigious universities. You can also check the requirements in this site: https://online.mohe.gov.my/upu/emas/index_epanduan.php?pagefunc=epanduan
Your top priorities should be reflected in your first two to three choices. It should be indicated orderly or else you will end up getting the course you are uninterested in. Some students assume that it would be safe to put their top choices in the third or fourth box because it increases their chances of getting it. This is just hearsay. Moreover, if you are determined to get into your preferred university, it would be wise to select similar courses from the same faculty.
