Are you a UniKL student trying to access your online classes, submit assignments, or check your grades? The UniKL VLE (Virtual Learning Environment) is your digital campus. Powered by Moodle, it’s where the majority of your academic life happens.
Whether you are a new student setting up your account for the first time, or a continuing student facing login issues, this guide covers everything you need to know about navigating the UniKL VLE, using the mobile app, and understanding the difference between the VLE and your Student Portal.
UniKL VLE is the official online learning management system (LMS) for Universiti Kuala Lumpur. Accessible via vle.unikl.edu.my, the platform is designed to support blended and fully online learning.

Accessing your dashboard is simple if you have the correct credentials. Follow these steps:
Step 1: Open your web browser (Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox recommended).
Step 2: Go to the official portal: vle.unikl.edu.my or vle2.unikl.edu.my.
Step 3: Click on the "Log in" button located at the top right corner.
Step 4: Enter your UniKL Student ID (e.g., 5201234567) and your Password.
Step 5: Once authenticated, you will be directed to your personal Moodle dashboard, where you can select your registered courses.
Pro Tip: Always log out of the VLE when using shared campus computers to protect your academic data.
Many students confuse the two platforms. Here is the breakdown:
UniKL Student Portal (UniKL Portal): This is for administration. You use it to register for courses, check final exam results, view fee statements, and receive official university announcements.

You should think about majoring in Engineering, Information Technology or Business. You can find these subjects enrolled at Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL). Since it’s establishment in 2002, the institute has opened 13 branches all over Malaysia-in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Malacca, Perak, Kedah, and Johor.

In total, they have 139 programmes in the fields of Engineering, Information Technology, Multimedia, Medical Science and Business. These wide range of programmes are offered at the levels of foundation, diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) prides itself in providing an intercultural and accessible education for students through their widespread campuses across Malaysia. Now, due to MCO, they want to continue their accessibility through their virtual learning environment (UNIKL Vle). Through UNIKL Vle, you will be able to experience a convenient and engaging classroom via online. UNIKL Vle recently had an upgraded and revamped web design which makes their classes as efficient, distinct and animated as possible for students and educators.

On top of that, UNIKL Vle will be hosting an online French language course from 31st May to June 3rd for a reasonable fee. The workshop would be facilitated by the lecturers Datin Asma Binti Moh. After the course, you will be able to familiarise with basic French phrases and words, introduce yourself, ask and answer basic questions in French.
This module not only can be an intercultural experience, it can also prepare you for a potential future study abroad semester at one of the French universities that has partnered with Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) in one of their international exchange programmes. Q1: How do I log in to UniKL VLE?
A: To log in, visit vle.unikl.edu.my, click "Log in", and enter your UniKL Student ID and password. If it is your first time logging in, use the default credentials provided during your student registration orientation.
Q2: Is the UniKL VLE different from the Student Portal?
A: Yes. The UniKL VLE (Moodle) is specifically for academic activities like downloading lecture notes, submitting assignments, and taking online quizzes. The UniKL Student Portal is for administrative tasks like checking final exam results, course registration, and paying fees.
Q3: How do I reset my UniKL VLE password?
A: On the VLE login page, click on "Forgotten password". Enter your Student ID or the email address registered with the university. You will receive an email with a link to create a new password. If you do not receive the email, check your spam folder or contact UniKL IT support.
Q4: Why can't I see my courses on the UniKL VLE dashboard?
A: Courses will only appear on your dashboard once your lecturer has made them visible to students. If the semester has already started and you still don't see your courses, verify that you are officially registered for the course on the Student Portal, or reach out to your programme coordinator.
Q5: Is there a UniKL VLE app for mobile phones?
A: Yes, UniKL has an official mobile app called "UniKL VLE" available on the Google Play Store for Android users. It allows you to access your course modules, check deadlines, and communicate with lecturers directly from your mobile device.
