Since the beginning of time, studying healthcare especially medicine have always been a costly choice for students. In Malaysia, the average cost of a medical or healthcare undergraduate course is a whopping RM200,000! Seeing those numbers alone can raise a few goose bumps for most people.
Don’t despair just yet! While those numbers can be heart-breaking to see for aspiring students, a few private institutions do offer affordable fees for their medical and healthcare courses. Case in point, MAHSA University who is also offering scholarships!
MAHSA University was founded in the year 2005 by Professor Tan Sri Dr. Hj. Mohamed Haniffa who is Pro-Chancellor and Executive Chairman. Professor Haniffa is a clinical practitioner of Medicine whose vision involves the creation of a stronghold of academic excellence in Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Nursing and Allied Health Sciences, Business and Engineering in the South-East Asian region.
Today MAHSA University has students from 61 different countries. And not just from the region of Asia, but as far as Australia, United Kingdom, the United States of America and Canada!
MAHSA’s Blue Ribbon Scholarship rewards students who are enrolled in a pathway programme, which means students from all programmes listed under MAHSA University are eligible to apply! More specifically, this scholarship is open to the public, current MAHSA Students and MAHSA alumni who are eligible based on CGPA at point of enrolment.
For students who are enrolling in Health Sciences and Pharmacy foundation to bachelor’s degree programmes, they are eligible for a total of RM3,000 to RM8,000 scholarship value depending on their CGPA. Whereas students from MBBS (Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery) and DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery) programmes can apply for a RM8,000 to RM20,000 worth of scholarship value under MAHSA’s Blue Ribbon Scholarship.
To be eligible, students simply need to achieve the minimum CGPA requirements of 3.00 and above for (health degrees) the entire duration of study!
And there’s more! MAHSA Group also recently announced a rebate of RM 500 from registration fees for all MAHSA University programme except online programme starting from 18th March until 30th April 2020. What else are you waiting for?
