Nilai University and KLM UK Engineering ventures into a five-year partnership for the prospect of EASA examination and the provision of Virtual Learning Environment.
Nilai University (Nilai U) collaborates with KLM UK Engineering to become examiners for the EASA B1 and B2 licences among others.
KLM UK Engineering is a leading regional aircraft organisation providing maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services such as base maintenance, line maintenance, technical training and decommission aircraft for either storage or disposal.
With a Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering written with an air of uniqueness, Nilai University's one-of-a kind collaboration will prepare students’ for the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) B1 and B2 license examinations, an all-important adventure to decide the future of aviation engineers both local and international.
The five-year partnership between Nilai Univeristy and KLM UK Engineering will also provide Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) software to support the students of both Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering and Advanced Diploma in Aircraft Engineering Technology to perform the EASA examinations with astounding results. The technology available across all media platforms will provide web-based seminars, online lectures and online forums to create an interactive environment of knowledge and experience sharing for both students and advisors of KLM UK Engineering.
“It is without a doubt a key qualification in the field of aircraft maintenance. This move is intended to ensure that our students have all the support necessary to pass these crucial examinations. This will help Nilai U maintain its position as the premier institution for aircraft maintenance programmes,” said Prof Dato’ Dr Sothi Rachagan, Vice Chancellor of Nilai Univeristy at the ceremony.
