Perhebat (Armed Forces Ex-Servicemen Affairs Corporation) is eyeing for university status by 2019

  • The Armed Forces Ex-Servicemen Affairs Corporation (Perhebat) training centre is now working with several institutions including the National Defence University of Malayisa (UPNM) and Open University Malaysia (OUM) to achieve its plans of becoming a university by 2019.

The path to becoming a university however would take five stages for Perhebat--- training centre, skills training centre, college, university college and university. To date, Perhebat is now working its way to college level.

Alongside with this, Perhebat is upgrading its learning system and equipment in all its training centres to achieve the target. Furthermore, it has signed a cooperation with Johor Corp. for the implementation of various development programmes and skills training for future Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM) retirees.

"We have training centre branch in every state and also five main training centres throughout Malaysia, namely in the middle zone, Sabah, Sarawak, north zone and south zone and targeting five more main training centres to achieve the university status.
