Open University of Malaysia to offer courses in dental technology and material science

• To promote dental technology, Open University of Malaysia (OUM) has partnered with Central Taiwan University of Science and Technology (CTUST).

This partnership is in response to Malaysia's need for talents in technology-based dental equipment manufacturing industry.

"The cooperation between CTUST and OUM will help boost the dental technology sector by providing skilled workers for the dental equipment manufacturing industry in the country," said Health Minister Datuk Seri S. Subramaniam.

Under the agreement, OUM can now offer an executive diploma programme in dental technology and certificate programme in dental technology and material science. These courses will introduce  modern computer-aided techniques in manufacturing dentures.
