Multimedia University (MMU) has launched a new programme, the Bachelor of Cinematic Arts (Honours) or also known as Cinematic Arts Programme (CAP). The programme enables students to explore a range of cinematic arts forms as well as the social and industrial contexts in which they are produced and consumed.
Students of the three-year programme will learn the following key disciplines - acting & directing, documentary, experimental film, screenwriting, production management, cinematography, sound production, art direction and others. CAP was designed with the collaboration of the School of Cinematic Arts of the University of Southern California (USC), which is the oldest school in the United States.
The first batch of CAP students will commence their studies in June 2013 at the MMU Cyberjaya campus. However, upon completion of the CAP building in 2014, the programme will run at MMU's third campus in Educity, Iskandar, Johor.
