Infrastructure University Kuala Lumpur and its Centre for Postgraduate Studies (CPS) organized an international gathering of researchers and academics to present research papers, findings, theories, concepts and other related achievements in various fields and interests for the first time in the history of IUKL.
This Colloquia attracted 41 papers from local and international universities. While local institutions like UKM, UPM, MUST, UNITEN, IIUM, UiTM, and Institute of Youth Malaysia (IYRES) have presented several papers, IUKL presented 28 papers by itself. International participants were mainly from University Marqab, Libya and Higher Institute Comprehensive Professions Terhana.
The IUKL International Postgrad Colloquia was held from the 27th till 28th of July, 2016 with the aim to provide a platform to share knowledge and expertise from local and international researchers allowing scholars to meet and interact.
The university hopes to organise this event once every two years intending to have more participation from local and international higher education institutions. The Centre for Postgraduate Studies at IUKL strived to become a major contributor to infrastructure research producing 400 postgraduate students in both masters and PhD programs.
The ambitious aim of IUKL is to be among the top universities in the world and have a prominent presence in the QS World University Rankings. They hope to be there as early as 2017.
There are approximately 200 students from Libya, China, Sudan, Bangladesh, Yemen and Malaysia pursuing their postgraduate studies at CPS-IUKL where majority of students are international.
