Heriot-Watt University Malaysia's branch campus in Dubai celebrates 10 years of growth as it increased from 120 in 2005 to an estimated 4,000 in 2015.
The 34th university in the world (based on the latest QS Top 50 under 50 rankings) now celebrates its 10th anniversary in Dubai.Heriot-Watt University's principal and vice-chancellor Professor Richard A. Williams said that the achievements of the past ten years in Dubai would not have been possible without the contributions of the team.Senior Director of the Europe, Middle East and Africa at Scottish Development International, Andy McDonald, also welcomed the tenth anniversary of Heriot-Watt University in UAE as "a bold step for Scottish Education in the UAE. The growth of the campus over the last 10 years is a testament to the hard work and commitment of the university, the staff and students to represent Scotland and demonstrates its world-class education in the Middle East."Heriot-Watt University was the first international university to open a campus in the Dubai International Academic City in 2005. It has also opened its second international campus in Malaysia in September 2014.
