No sooner than UKM announcing the opening their International Degree Programme did the questions regarding the programme come flooding in. With so many having queries on the same things, here are the answers to the frequently asked questions regarding the UKM International Degree Programme.
Initially, the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) – International Degree Programme (IDP) programme was introduced for international students exclusively. The UKM – IDP Programme consists of 72 courses overall. You may have a look at the full list below:
Entry requirements for courses in the UKM IDP programme are lower when compared to UPU. The entry requirements are as follows:
Students who intend to proceed to a degree, with qualifications such as STPM, Matrikulasi, STAM, Foundation, Asasi, A-Level, International Baccalaureate may check the respective requirements based on programmes above.
The tuition fees for UKM-IDP courses are higher than UPU, and similar to private university fees, with the added advantage of joining an exchange programme for 1 month at countries like Korea, Japan, Indonesia, Vietnam, China, Mexico, Germany and the USA.
Once an applicant sends an application in, they will receive an email to confirm the submission of said application. After this, designated counsellors will call these students to verify their application. Due to the overwhelming number of applications, those who have applied first will be called first. As such, you are advised to be patient.
