The first step to consider is studying at Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN), one of the first private universities in Malaysia, located in Selangor. It is wholly owned by the public-listed Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), established in 1976.
Their vision is to become a leading university in global energy. Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN) currently offers 50 programmes in the following fields: Engineering, IT and Business. These programmes are presented in the form of Pre-University, Bachelor’s and Postgraduate.

For example, a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Hons) degree for local students costs RM18,750 a year and RM 19,500 for International students, while a Foundation in Engineering costs RM17,000 a year for local students and RM 20,000 for International students.
