Does the idea of working at a desk job for eight hours a day make you cringe? For some of you, sitting inside a cubicle all day can be unbearable. Unfortunately, the onset of technology and automation has made jobs a lot easier.A study indicated that the number of jobs in private industry requiring at least moderate physical activity has sunk from nearly half in the early 1960s to less than 20% today. Men burn an average of 142 less calories in a workday whreas women 124 less.For those who find sedentary jobs unappealing, there are still some jobs that make you sweat and earn high at the same time.

Fitness Trainer/ Instructor

While most people pay to work out in a gym, why not be paid to work in a gym club? Being a fitness trainer could be rewarding because you will be helping people to reach their fitness goals. For starters, a fitness trainer could earn between RM1,500 to RM2,500 and those who are experts in their field charge RM300 on a hourly basis. In Malaysia, there is demand for fitness as well as health counselors. The prevalence of obesity is on the upward trend. Landscape Specialist

If you have a green thumb, love mother nature and going outdoors, a career in landscaping could be right for you. This job will allow you to spend days outdoors tending to and enhancing the beautiful landscape around you. Flight Attendant/Steward

If you are not afraid of flying and heights, you might want to consider flight attending. A career in the air is all about ensuring the safety as well as the comfort of passengers onboard. This job includes making sure that everyone is on board; promoting safety measures before the flight; and offering positive customer service experience. Asia's fast-growing aviation market is one of the best reasons to consider this career path. Airlines in Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and the Philippines have placed orders for hundreds of commercial planes over the past year, according to Boeing. Construction Engineer

Visiting actual construction sites with a hard hat is usually the situation in this type of job. Construction engineers have to be fit and healthy because most of the time their job requires them to travel and sometimes work on weekends. Usually they examine existing buildings or sites and other structures to test if they are structurally sound and still fit for purpose. Although there is paperwork to do, teaching can also be a physically demanding job. Lectures are always conducted with the teacher standing up for a good 40-50 minutes. For preschool teachers, playing, being more animated and taking care of little school children would require some physical effort. Presently, Malaysia needs more quality teachers and is trying its best to attract the best graduates into considering this vocation.
