Published by Afterschool.my on Jun 18, 2012, 02:48 pm

  • Students entering universities will have to attend English classes to meet the working world requirements of the language
  • Their proficiency will be determined by the Malaysian University English Test (MUET) which will separate them tothree tiers according to their level
  • MUET Band 5 and 6 scorers will be considered competent, Band 3 and 4 scorers will have to attend a General English class to learn communication skills while Band 1 and 2 scorers will have to attend an Intensive English (IE) course
  • These English language courses will not affect nor penalise these students as the courses are not part of the credit hours that determines their Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA)
