UMNO College proposed

• International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Mukhriz Mahathir suggested establishing a UMNO College
• The objective is to show the party's role in youth development
• He suggested the college should be open to all races
• He also proposed the political party to start UMNO scholarship

Afterschool.my says: There are around 500 IPTS, 20 IPTA and 27 Polytechnics in the country. So if UMNO wants to start a college, it has to be unique and different. There is no point reinventing the wheel. We have a suggestion! Why not bring an ivy league university like Yale or Princeton to Malaysia. We can setup a joint venture school with a local university like how National University of Singapore has done it with Duke (NUS Duke Graduate Medical School). Ivy League universities are looking to expand and Asia is where the growth is. This kind of venture needs a lot of money and that's where UMNO can help fund it.
