Russia has always been a popular destination among Malaysians who want to study medicine.

According to thelatest predictions of analysts by the Russian Ministry of Education and Science, the rise of tuition fees at Russian universities is due to the weakening of the national currency and the result of the financial crisis in the country.

The biggest growth of fees will be observed among private and state-owned universities located in the Russian regions. The recently tightened state requirements on the quality of higher education, the latter mainly affecting private universities.

Will it affect the current and future Malaysian students who are in Russia pursuing their studies?

Afterschool.my has contacted responsible agencies such as RutraMedic, MedicEd and Falcon Universal, who has years of experience helping students pursue their studies abroad, Russia being one of the country.

According to the representatives, these agencies and Russian universities such as Moscow State Medical University and Kursk State Medical University have a binding contract. Through it, no external factor as the above may affect the flow of Malaysian students who wish to study in Russia.

So rest assured, the numbers will not alter drastically if you wish to pursue an education in Russia.
