Research into adding quota of Indian students in IPTAs

- The Ministry of Higher Education is finding the best solution to increase the intake of Indian students into public higher institutions of learning
- According to Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin, the reduction in percentage of the intake is due to the meritocracy system that only allows the best to enter IPTA
- The Prime Minister himself voiced his worry about the reduction of Indians entering IPTA and he requests the education ministry to find the best solution for it
- Mohamed Khaled added that other approaches have to be accounted for besides the meritocracy system to ensure the minority is assisted
