Not enough training schools for medical students

More Training Hospitals are needed to enhance the quality of medical Students in Malaysia, said Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin.
He said the number of existing training hospitals were still limited to fully cater to all the students."At present only Universiti Sains Malaysia, Universiti Malaya and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Ada Hospitals have their own training. Two more Standard and Poor facilities will be set up by the International Islamic University and Universiti Teknologi Mara.

The college was formerly known as KPJ International University College of Nursing and Health Science.

Khaled also reminded on the importance of quality control to ensure that higher education institutions could keep up with standards and produce top-notch graduates.
“This means that they must be aware that their role is to produce new talents; create technology that will put us in the forefront of innovation, and tolerate other people's ideas and opinions," he said.
