Ministry of Higher Education (KPT) once again offer the National Academic Award (AAN). This prestigious award is the Ministry's an annual program with the aim of giving recognition to academics who has achieved excellence in various fields.
This award provides recognition not only in the aspects of teaching and reseach, but in involves the role of institutions of higher education and their academic contribution to the development of the nation and society.
In ensuring the relevance of this prestigious award, the Ministry has opened nominations and applications for every award category to all Piblic Universities, Private University/ University College, Polytecnics and Community Colleges.
Applicants are welcome from candidates who are competent, and posses high credibility in their respective fields. Candidates must have already secured a number of notable achievements throughout the evaluation year.
The evaluation period is from 1st January 2015 until 31st December 2015. In exception for the National Academic Figure Award, which will base their nominations by Institutions of Higher Education, which is based on the achievement and the cumulative contribution of the current candidates, received awards and recognition for lifelong achievements.
There are seven award categories which are open for applications and nominations:
Successful nominations for the National Academic Figure Award will receive a reward of RM 200,000 in cash, along with a trophy and a certificate from Ministry of Higher Education (KPT). Other categories will receive a reward of RM 50,000 in cash, with a trophy and a certificate.
Applicants and nominations for the 10th NAA will be open on 14th March 2016 (Monday) and will be closed on 13th May 2016 (Jumaat). for more information, please visit the Ministry of Higher Education website, National Academic Award.
