  • Masterskill plans to improve revenue by expanding operations in China, Myanmar and Bangladesh

Masterskill deputy CEO, DR Jayles Yeo said the group is currently working with authorities to obtain the necessary approvals to provide educational programmes abroad.

The group has been granted a franchising license by Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Ministry (KPDNKK). With the license, the group is finding suitable partners in China, Myanmar and Bangladesh, where there is demand for higher education.

He expects the franchising business to account for at least 60 per cent to group revenue in five years. The group reported decline in revenue due to decreasing enrollments in nursing programmes.

In the local front, Masterskill will focus on widening its programme offerings, especially in degree programmes. Its flagship campus in Petaling Jaya will offer new business courses that enable students to obtain their diplomas and Master of Business Administration (MBA).
