A total of 837 graduates received their degree and diploma certificates last 5 September 2015.
They were students from the Faculties of Engineering and Technology Infrastructure, Applied Science, Architecture and Built Environment, Business and Accounting, Arts, Communication and Education, as well as the Creative Media and Innovative Technology.
The ceremony, officiated by the President and Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr Roslan Zainal Abidin, was also attended by the IUKL Chancellor Tan Sri Dato' Ir. Dr. Wan Abdul Rahman Wan Yaacob along with the Pro-Chancellor Dato' Ir. Dr. Lee Yee Cheong. In his speech, Prof. Roslan said that IUKL has signed several memorandum of understanding (MoU) with various institutions and industries in the global market to provide opportunities for its graduates.
The fruits of their success and efforts towards their focus on research is clearly evidenced through their achievement of two gold medals in the PERINTIS (Pertandingan Rekacipta dan Inovasi Institusi Pengajian Tinggi Swasta) 2014.
Ann Teh Yin Li, recipient of the Chancellor's Award 2015 as well as Star Education Fund scholar, graduated with a Bachelor (Hons) in Civil Engineering. She described her experiences at IUKL as exceptional and fulfilling. "I was exposed to inspiring tasks throughout my studies." She adds that "the endless support and guidance received from my lecturers have attributed to my accomplishment."
Four recipients of the Vice-Chancellor's Award 2015 also voiced their gratitude at the institution for the experiences they have gained within and beyond the classroom. Abdul Salaam, from Maldives, expressed that he was glad for the chance to meet people from different countries. "Interacting with students from over 50 countries during my studies at IUKL is a rare opportunity that I cherish."
Chai Kah Wai, another recipient of the award, graduated with a diploma in architecture. “The two and a half years spent at IUKL had exposed me to situations and challenges that provided me with real-time experience. I have developed problem solving skills and I believe team work is very crucial in my self-development to become prominent in the field of architecture. "
IUKL is the foremost infrastructure university in Malaysia, which emphasizes the integration of both hard and soft aspects of infrastructure. It aspires to produce technopreneurs and skilled manpower with outstanding communication, technological and managerial skills.
They will be having their Information Day this 12-13 September 2015 (Sat-Sun) for their September 2015 intake. They offer programs from foundation to postgraduate level with a rebate promotion of RM500. There will also be tuition fee waivers of up to 60%, 100% scholarships and study loans.
