The Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) together with Sunway-TES will be having its final round of the MIA-Sunway TES Accounting Quiz (AQ) 2014 which will be held at:
A total of nine (9) Schools with 10 teams (each comprising four members) from five (5) states, namely Selangor (4), Sarawak (2) and one (1) each from Penang, Negeri Sembilan and Perlis have been selected as finalists to compete in the final on Saturday 13 September 2014. The finale will be graced by Mohd Anuar Abdul Hamid, Senior Principal Assistant Director, Co-Curricular and Arts Division, Ministry of Education Malaysia.
The top three winners of the AQ 2014 will be presented with scholarships and financial assistance worth more than RM200,000 to study accountancy at Sunway College.
Overall, since the competition began in April this year, AQ 2014, saw about 1000 teams representing 300 schools with 3,521 students taking part in the various qualifying rounds.
This competition is aimed to expose and garner the interest of students to learn and gain knowledge about the accounting field and the accountancy profession. AQ 2014 is supported by the Ministry of Education (MoE) and The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), who is the strategic partner.
