The world is now a different place, and not a better one for sure. Students are held back and deprived of their rights to education due to this grueling nightmare we know as COVID-19.
COVID-19 has forced the whole world to find an alternative to the education system, which has been impacted the most, and lucky for us, our prime minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, had decided to launch an Educational TV channel (DidikTV KPM) which will be on air starting 17th February 2021.
Online learning, to a certain extent, has been effective in ensuring that students are actively involved and participating in the home-based teaching and learning. Nonetheless, it couldn’t be used as an alternative for a long term as most students still do not have proper access to the internet and computers. The Ministry of Education (MOE) is aware that there is a dire need to address this issue which has led to most students especially those from rural and remote areas to be left behind.
As early as March 18, 2020, the MOE had already taken the initiative to introduce educational programmes that were aired on multiple channels such as Astro Tutor TV, Okey TV, and Didik TV. Unfortunately, they had limited slots and the programmes were aired for as long as only 2 hours.
So, there is no reason to fret anymore, you can now watch DidikTV KPM as early as 7 AM to 12 AM daily. It's time for you to sit back, relax, grab some healthy snacks and watch DidikTV KPM. Be sure to tune in everyday to channel 107 on MYTV, 147 on ASTRO, and NTV7 on TV UNIFI.
