The Actuarial Science programme, under APU’s School of Mathematics, Actuarial and Quantitative Studies (SoMAQS) seamlessly integrates theoretical knowledge with practical application, ensuring that students have the necessary skills and expertise to succeed in the dynamic field of actuarial science.

The CAS Silver Recognition status not only certifies the quality of APU’s Actuarial Science programme but also enhances the global reputation and credibility of degrees earned by its graduates.

Both the data analytics and fintech programmes are fully accredited by the IFoA, UK.

APU actuarial graduates who attain a minimum threshold mark are eligible for block exemptions from CS1, CS2, CM1, CM2, CB1 and CB2 in the current IFoA curriculum.

SoMAQS Head Assoc Prof Dr Rajasegeran Ramasamy highlights that the IFoA and CAS recognition opens doors to a broader world of career possibilities for APU graduates.
