The University of Southampton is one of the top three universities in the UK for engineering. In 2012, it has established a branch campus within the EduCity development in Iskandar, Malaysia. By studying with Southampton, students are invited to take their place at the cutting edge, among some of the most talented students and academics from around the world.
Its split campus (UK and Malaysia) degree offers a seamless ‘Southampton’ experience for students, who will be able to begin their studies at the campus in Malaysia and complete them in Southampton. This is a unique education experience for around 60 percent of the cost of studying for the same degree in the UK only.
University of Southampton Malaysia’s premier undergraduate MEng Mechanical Engineering, MEng Aeronautics & Astronautics and MEng Electrical & Electronic Engineering programmes allow students to study using some of the latest research facilities and equipment in the world and put the theory they learn into practice to deliver real results. All programmes have been approved by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) and the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).
Students will graduate with a degree from an internationally recognised university and experience higher education in the UK, with the added benefit of enjoying the Southampton education experience both in Asia and the UK.
The university’s accredited programmes provide entry to Chartered Engineer (CEng) status and are accredited by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers and the Institution of Engineering and Technology in the UK.
