Established in 1998, Monash University Malaysia is the Asian constituent of a premier research intensive Australian university which is ranked among the top 100 universities by Times Higher Education World University Rankings, and member of Australia’s prestigious Group of Eight (Go8), a group that produces more than 70 per cent of all basic research conducted at all of Australia’s public universities.
Presently, Monash University Malaysia attracts students all over the world with approximately 6,000 students representing almost 70 nationalities. Its research platforms address the local challenges and these are: advanced engineering, brain research, halal ecosystem, social & economic transformation in Asia, south-east asia community observatory and tropical medicine & biology. The university specialises in undergraduate and postgraduates courses in the areas of Arts and Social Sciences, Business, Engineering and Information Technology, and Medicine & Health Sciences, Pharmacy and Science. All of its courses are accredited in Malaysia and Australia.
