Diploma in Broadcast JornalismBack
The Diploma in Broadcast Journalism is a two-and-a-half year programme where students learn the skills of news gathering, writing, reporting, filming and editing to produce radio and television news and other non-fiction broadcasts such as magazines and documentaries.
The programme, designed to produce highly trained professionals for the media industry, combines both the theoretical and practical applications of broadcast journalism. Students of this programme learn through lectures, workshops and actual on-air duty in the radio and television studios (HCTV) of the College.
Students will also have an opportunity to learn the ropes of the profession from industry experts who will be invited as guest lecturers.
Apart from exposure in producing on-campus news and nonfiction radio and television programmes, students will get a chance to do a 10-week training stint at the television, radio and cable networks and stations to enhance their employability.
