  • External assessments (60%)

The internal assessment consist of the Final Exam only, while external assessments are made up of quizzes, assignments, lab reports, mid-semester exam, presentations etc. Not all subjects will be tested in the Finals, the only subjects tested are: Sem 1: Bio 1, Chem 1, Phy 1, Calculus, Statistics and Language and Literary Appreciation and Sem 2: Bio 2, Chem 2, Phy 2 and Vector Calculus

Grades: Similar to the A levels format, AsasiPintar students will go through a school-based assessment (20-40% of the final score) and a centralised examination (60-80% of the final score). The overall grade is then based on the Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) ranging from 0.0 to 4.0.

Tuition fees (RM 700) are subsidised by the government via the Bantuan Kewangan KPT up to RM 1960 per semester. Students will usually use the remaining money to fund for other fees and accommodation as required by the college.

How to Apply

Candidates should apply for admission to the AsasiPintar program online through the Unit Pusat Universiti (UPU) website from January to first week of April. Please read Afterschool’s Ultimate UPU Guide for more information.

Uni Pathways

Overseas: Base on former AsasiPintar students, some universities in the UK accept this qualification including University of Manchester, Edinburgh, Leeds and Bristol. It is recommended that students, as soon as they receive their first semester results, should start applying for foreign universities. Some universities accept SPM 1119 English as English proficiency requirement while others require IELTS.

Malaysia: AsasiPintar aims to admit its students into Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia.
