Has your dream always been to help people in need? Are you a people person, someone who just has a way with words, able to communicate with anyone and everyone? Do you have a keen interest in Biology, namely how the body functions? Are one of your heroes Florence Nightingale? If you do, then read on as we introduce you to the course of nursing, which just might be for you!

It takes a whole team of professionals to tend to the nation’s health care needs and nurses are the linchpin that keep the health care system running. They provide the bulk of daily care, serve as liaisons between patients and physicians and, in some cases, even fill the role of doctors. A course in nursing will encompass the skill to monitor patient care, educate patients and family members about health conditions, provide medications and treatments, give emotional support and advice to patients and their family members and more. They also work with healthy people by providing preventative health care and wellness information.

Good with People

A nurse needs to be good with people, because he/she is the person who’s supposed to explain the complicated jargon that is medical terms to the patient, in a way that they will understand
