In order to improve the quality of academic and sharpen its professional skill, the universities have cooperated with many agencies and professionals engaged in health care service, for example: hospitals, health centers, polyclinics, independent midwives and other health care services at local, regional and national level.

The universities are located in a campus with nice atmosphere, creating positive climate that is conducive to student learning. These Government universities are provided with various facilities that support education, research and community service are also recognized by our Malaysian Public Service Department (JPA) and Malaysian Medical Council (MMC).

The program provides students with the knowledge, skills and attitudes they require to become competent practitioners of dentistry. During period of theoretical years of the program; students will be exposed to knowledge in the basic sciences which provide the clinical and biomedical foundations relevant to Dentistry.

Clinical work commences in fourth year and this experience is broadened in fifth year. Each student is assigned patients and is then responsible for the dental care of these patients. Clinical work in areas such as general practice dentistry, orthodontics, paediatric dentistry, periodontics and prosthodontics is undertaken at the Overseas Government universities. Students gain experience in the areas of oral medicine and oral and maxillofacial surgery in government teaching hospitals.
