Degree in Botany and Horticultural Science

STPM :

Minimum pass in three subjects including Biology

Matriculation/Foundation/Pre-university programme in a related course :

Pass in three subjects including Biology. (Minimum 50% or Grade C or CGPA of 2.0)

A-Levels :

Minimum pass in three subjects including Biology

Diploma :

Pass with a CGPA of equal or more than 

AUSMAT/SACE/CIMP/CPU/MUFY :

Grades C, C, C in three subjects including Biology

IB :

Pass with a minimum score of 24 points

Master in Botany and Horticultural Science

Degree :

A Bachelor’s degree in a related field with minimum CGPA of 2.75 or equivalent from any higher education institution recognised by the Senate of the university 

Degree :

A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with minimum CGPA of 2.50 and not meeting CGPA 2.75, can be accepted subject to internal assessment approved by the Senate of the University

Degree :

A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent not meeting CGPA of 2.50, can be accepted subject to a minimum of 5 years working experience in relevant field

PhD in Botany and Horticultural Science

Master's :

A Master’s degree from any other institution of higher learning recognised by the Senate of the University; or other qualification equivalent to a Master’s degree and relevant experiences recognised by the Senate of the University

Important Note: Diploma is not offered for this course. Students can enrol for a pre-university programme before applying for a degree in Botany & Horticulture. This course is mostly offered in public universities, thus, it would be advisable to opt for the government pre-university route for easier access to public universities in the future..
