When most students look into higher education, they often go for public universities as they are less expensive than private universities. However, what many don’t know is that while public universities may be cheaper, they still aren’t free and many don’t even offer scholarships to students. Even if some do offer scholarships, they are usually very competitive as they are open to hundreds of applicants. Now, who wants to compete with all of that when starting university is stressful enough?
On the other hand, many private universities offer scholarships that don’t require you to go for interviews or compete with other applicants. For these scholarships, if you meet the eligibility requirements, then you will be offered the scholarship. No competition necessary! Plus, for many of their scholarships, you don’t even need to apply, you will be automatically eligible for it just by getting into the university.
Now, you’re probably wondering, what university is doing all of this for me? Well, the university in question in Infrastructure University Kuala Lumpur (IUKL). In addition to offering scholarships that include a tuition fee waiver of 50% per semester, they also have 11 financial aids to offer students. Below are a list of the full and partial scholarships along with their eligibility requirements.
Successfully meet all the requirements and you will be automatically offered the scholarship along with your IUKL offer letter. Furthermore, if you maintain an excellent academic record throughout the year, you will also get a 50% tuition fee discount in the second semester and beyond.
Alright, but what is the point of a scholarship if the private university is not widely recognised, right? Well, not to worry, IUKL has been recognised for its courses offered among professional associations locally and globally. These include the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM), Board of Architects Malaysia (LAM), Land Surveyors Board (LJT), Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (RISM), Washington Accord, CISCO, International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO), and Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). And that is just the tip of the iceberg, IUKL has been recognised by many more associations as well as the aforementioned ones!
On top of all of this, IUKL also collaborates with many great international universities to ensure that the courses offered are in line with the current needs of the working world today as job opportunities are their top priority. With that, IUKL is also recognised by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA). Below are some of the universities that collaborate with IUKL.
