The MSc Finance and Investment degree provides a structured programme for those seeking positions in finance and investment. The programme is accredited by the Finance Accreditation Agency (FAA), an international and independent quality assurance and accreditation body for the financial services industry supported by Bank Negara Malaysia (the Central Bank of Malaysia) and the Securities Commission of Malaysia. The programme has also been admitted to the CFA Institute University Recognition Program.The MSc Finance and Investment programme is based around the three main classes of capital investment activity: equity markets, fixed interest markets, and derivative markets. It will allow you to focus upon advanced developments in finance and investment to meet your specific interests and career aspirations.The course will increase your knowledge and skills in fundamental management disciplines, while also including specialist modules in specific areas of finance. It will increase your capability to undertake critical evaluation of core business and finance disciplines, developing your ability to examine and assess different aspects of the financial environment, and to provide insights into the operation of finance and financial services.
Entry requirements
An upper second class honours degree (or international equivalent). Applicants must have a first degree in business/economics/management (with a significant quantitative finance and/or econometric component). Applicants must have graduated from an approved university. Other equivalent qualifications will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
English language requirements
IELTS: 6.5 (with no less than 6.0 in each element) TOEFL (iBT): 87 (minimum 20 in Speaking and 19 in all other elements) PTE (Academic): 62 (with no less than 55 in each element) IELTS and TOEFL test results must be less than 2 years old and all IELTS must be the academic version of the test

UEC
5 As, exluding Bahasa Malaysia and Chinese language but may include English.
SAM or other Australian matriculations
ATAR 86 (consideration to be made based on relevant subjects)
Canadian (CIMP/ICPU)
88% average based on 6 subjects with at least 80% in mathematics of data management
College Placement Test (US Style Curriculum)
Minimum final GPA of 3.0 (out of 4) in High School Diploma with grade B in mathematics plus, 610 in evidence-based reading & writing and 570 in mathematics in SATr and 650, 650, 650 in SAT Subject Tests or 4 ,4, 4 in Advanced Placement Tests
Advance Placement (AP)
Applicants who are taking Advanced Placement Tests in addition to another recognised qualification (not US style curriculum), may be considered on a case-by-case basis without the SATr and SAT Subject Tests
Diploma - Other Institutions
Acceptance to the second year is on a case by case basis (and at the discretion of the School) but normally would require an overall GPA of 3.33 (out of 4) or 75% and above (consideration to be made based on relevant subjects), and previous studies must meet the prerequisite requirements to the programme
Foundation - Other Institutions
Acceptance is at the discretion of the School but normally would require an overall GPA of 3.33 (out of 4) or 75% and above (consideration to be made based on relevant subjects), and previous studies must meet the prerequisite requirements to the programme
The University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus Foundation
Successful completion of any foundation programme and meeting the mathematics requirements
SPM/GCSE/IGCSE
In addition to the entry requirements listed above, those who have taken SPM/GCSE/IGCSE must have grade B in mathematics or grade C in UEC mathematics
