The Programme in child and family studies is Designed to Educate and to eQUIP individual to be professionals in dealing with childern, parents and families in public and private settings. The School of Psychology and social work that's believes children should be studied in the context of family and Their community, thus the study of the roles of families in the development of the child's emotional, social, cognitive, and personality is imperative. Programmes This represents the Efforts of the university and the school to ENHANCE collabration with the community and to respond to the needs of society for professionals to work with children and their family within the community. Depending on Their career goal Students will have a choice to go through a some practical training or opeted for thesis writing. Pratical training is IMPORTANT to complement the theoretical aspects of Their study and thesis writing helps ur to be Researchers in the filed of Child and Family Studies.

Graduates of this Programme will serve in the public and private Sectors as Supervisors in childcare centers, psychological consultation Officers, lecturers in the institution of Higher learning, research assistants or tutors in the institution of Higher learning, managers assistants of childcare centers, and voluneteers or facilitators.
