For me?
To pursue your education and subsequently a career in this field, first and foremost you need to be computer savvy. You need to love working or playing with computers. For example, if you are a gamer and enjoy playing around with or tweaking game software, then software engineering might be your cup of tea. If you are very artistic and love designing, drawing and painting, you may want to take your interest into the digital world and pursue graphic or web designing. If you have always wondered how that PC or gadget was put together and have tried a hand in dismantling it, then hardware or system administration is what you might want to do. It all depends on your personal interest.
Men vs Women
Based on a study done at the Carnegie Mellon University, men and women view computers differently. Women tend to see the computer as a tool for use within societal and interdisciplinary context. Men were more likely to see the computer as a machine.
