With this particular scholarship being advocated by the Ministry of Education (MOE) on their website, the 2017 ASEAN Network Scholarship is clearly a colossal opportunity (Just look at the picture below of their actual campus!) . The 2017 ASEAN Network Scholarship provides an opportunity for students from all ten ASEAN countries to study together in a truly international environment of Bangkok University. The scholarship aims to connect and enhance students about ASEAN economy knowledge, cultural awareness, and to provide opportunities for students to be involved in ASEAN-related activities at both local and international level.

Details of the Scholarship

A total of ten scholarships are available. The scholarship will be granted to one nominated student from selected participating school in each country of the ten ASEAN nations.

Each Scholarship covers the full tuition fee for the entire period of 4 years-Bachelor’s Degree Programme, for any of the following disciplines offered at the Bangkok University International (BUI):

1. Bachelor of Business Administration in Entrepreneurship

2. Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing

3. Bachelor of Arts in Communication Arts

4. Bachelor of Arts in Business English

5. Bachelor of Arts in Hotel and Restaurant Management

6. Bachelor of Arts in International Tourism Management

7. Bachelor of Technology in Computer Graphics and Multimedia

*ASEAN Network Scholarship recipients will be responsible for the airline tickets, dormitory, and living allowance during their study.

Nominations and Selection Process

The School Director or the Principal of the selected participating schools will nominate one qualified student to receive the 2017 ASEAN Network Scholarship. The details of the nominee are to be filled out in the application form, which you can view at the bottom of the article.

The ASEAN Network Scholarship recipients are expected to arrive in Bangkok in early August 2017 as the Orientation activity will be on August 10, 2017. The August 2017 semester will commence on August 15, 2017 at Bangkok University City Campus.

Eligibility Criteria

• Student must be a national citizen of country that the participating school is located.
• Student who has obtained a high school/college diploma from the participating schools in 2016 or 2017.
• Student planning to enroll full-time in a Bachelor’s Degree program for the August 2017.
• Student with good proficiency in English and communication skills.
• Student with tracked record of student activities in the participating school.

Required Documents

Participating schools are required to send following documents to Bangkok University via post mail:

1. An official nomination letter signed by the school director/principal stating the name of nominated student and the proposed field of study

2. A BUI Application Form completed by the nominated student

3. A copy of high school/college diploma, or equivalent certification

4. A copy of final high school/college academic transcript

5. Three 1”x1” photographs

6. A copy of nominated student’s passport

7. A copy of English-Language proficiency test score report
