Malaysian citizens who are qualified and meet the following requirements are invited to apply for a scholarship offered by Yayasan Tenaga Nasional (YTN) for studying in certain fields in public institutions of higher learning (IPTA) for the September 2015 intake session.
Applicant must meet all the below requirements
General
Children of the working members in TNB and its subsidiaries.
Students shall not exceed 22 years of age on or before 12/31/2015.
Secured a place in public universities.
Students who have begun term need at least a CGPA of 3.00 (CGPA> 3.00) based on the latest test results. (Semester 2, 2014/2015)
Sponsorship is limited to two (2) dependents of one family at a time, ie, one in IPTA and one in UNITEN.
Former YTN sponsored students who have ended their Convertible Loan term is not eligible to apply.
Diploma candidates:
Passed SPM with aggregate of not more than 25 units (<25 units) for a combination of five (5) relevant subjects including Malay and four best subjects of the following subjects:
Engineering
· Math
· Additional Mathematics
· Physics
· Chemistry
· English
non-Engineering
· Science/Physics/Mathematics/Chemistry/Principles of Accounting/Commerce/Basic Economics/History/Geography
or
select one of the best of the following subjects:
Moral Education/Islamic Studies/Arabic/Arabic Language (Communication)/Worldview of Islam/Quran Education and As-Sunnah/Islamic sharia.
Passing Certificate by obtaining at least CGPA 2.80 (CGPA> 2.80) in related fields.
Bachelor's degree candidates:
Passed STPM with at least CGPA of 3.00
Diploma graduate with a CGPA of at least 2.70 (CGPA> 2.70) in a related field
Matriculation pass with at least a CGPA of 2.50 (CGPA> 2.50) in a related field.
Diploma and/or Bachelor degree in:
Non-engineering
