Program Dermasiswa B40 is a new program that is implemented by JPA in 2016. The program is a sponsorship program for students with Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) 2015 from a family in the B40 group to pursue Diploma and Professional Certificate in identified Higher Education Institutions.
"B40 group" is the term used for a group of Malaysians whose household earnings are among the 40% of lower income group. The objective of this program is to help students in the B40 class to pursue studying Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) and professionals with high prospects for the industry.
The sponsorship will focus on the fields of technical and vocational education in line with the Government's efforts to develop talents with high skills to meet the needs of skilled workers in the job market.
Diploma in Public Higher Education Institutions
Diploma in Public Higher Education Institutions is sponsoring students from families in the B40, who has managed to get an offer of admission to public universities or polytechnics for pursuing Diploma. A total of 700 places provided under the sponsorship of the program.
Diploma Program UNITEN & MMU
Diploma Program UNITEN & MMU is sponsoring students from families in the B40 group who are eligible for either pursuing Diploma in Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN) or Multimedia University (MMU). A total of 200 places provided under the sponsorship of the program.
Professional Certificate Program (PSP)
Professional Certificate Program (PSP) is sponsoring students from families in the B40 group who are eligible to pursue a Professional Certificate in engineering and accounting. The selected students will be housed at the University of Kuala Lumpur for the Professional Certificate Program in engineering , and Poly - Tech MARA for the study of Certified Accounting Technician (CAT). A total of 100 places provided under the sponsorship of the program.
