Admissions for Kolej Vokasional (KV) and Sekolah Menengah Teknik (SMT) 2014 now open

Form three students who will sit for the Penilaian Menengah Rendah (PMR) this year and are interested in taking up technical and vocational education and training at SMT (Sekolah Menengah Teknik) and Kolej Vokasional (KV)  next year are invited to apply. Closing date is 25 December 2013.
 
General requirements
  • Malaysian citizens
  • Must be in Form 3 and will sit for PMR 2013
  • Physically and mentally fit
  • Must not be colour blind (applicants for engineering courses)
Specific conditions
 
Technical education – a minimum grade of B in the PMR in BM, English, Mathematics, Science and Life Skills
 
Vocational education -
Category A – a minimum grade of B in the PMR in BM, English, Mathematics, Science and Life Skills
Category B – a minimum grade of C in the PMR in BM, English, Mathematics, Science and Life Skills
Category C – a  minimum grade of D in the PMR in BM, English, Mathematics, Science and Life Skills

Skills training -  a minimum grade of D in the PMR in Malay language and Life Skills application
 
How to apply
 
  • Application for SMT (Sekolah Menengah Teknik) and Kolej Vokasional (KV) can be made in two ways:
  • Apply online through the Ministry of Education’s online application system to SMT or KV 2014. Click here to apply. 
  • Apply directly at any SMT or KV near you. Application forms can be obtained there.
Other information
 
  • Hostel facilities are available yet limited in almost all SMT and KV except in KV Kuching and SMK Sultan Abdul Samad.
  • Shortlisted applicants will be called for interview in SMT and KV concerned. Please bring along copy of your identity card, PMR trial examination results 2013.
  • Unsuccessful applicants can make an appeal online
